Revitalisation of 30 houses
Commissioned by the Alliance Gooi and Vecht housing our office designs and supervises the revitalisation of 30 homes in a small residential area, built in the early seventies of last century.
Royal Visio, National Foundation for the Blind, supports people who are blind or partially sighted with their questions about life, learning, living and working with a visual impairment. We made a design for the renovation of the facades with respect to the simple architecture and materialization of the seventies. The roofs are provided with a dark red wine-glazed tile. The balustrades are replaced by contemporary laminated glass, with a print and stainless steel handrails. The masonry will carefully be cleaned with water.
Visio rents 16 houses. There are six apartments suitable for occupation of one person. Two apartments are suitable for occupying two persons. The remaining eight properties are suitable for groups. The remaining 14 houses will be rented to RIBW. RIBW ensures that people with different psychiatric and psychosocial problems can live in normal houses as much as possible.
